World-famous illusionist Lance Derek has deadly problems and they all seem to somehow involve Detective Gwen Sanders who is carrying his unborn child. When a dead body shows up backstage at his show it has the entire city in turmoil as the woman was the muse for gamblers across the city. Even worse, Lance’s ex-girlfriend is involved which complicates things with Gwen who is already mistrustful of him and the secrets he keeps.
