It was to be the fifth tallest building in the world, the largest manmade structure outside of New York City, jutting into the skies of the Roaring Twenties over the central downtown of ...Columbus, Ohio.  Its socially progressive creators hoped it would stand forever as a symbol of what their titanic parent company called the noblest work of man.
