Little Mermen

Dick 10 is one of many identical-looking mermen swimming in a cavern created by their father. Like the famed Ariel and his many comrades, he yearns to be human and walk the face of the earth on two legs. When a rare event in his father's life causes the cavern to open its waters to a new world, he and his brothers embark on a dangerous quest battling acidic waters, whirling hurricanes, and corrosive shields to obtain the most precious gift of all - new life.
