Looking Back

Looking Back is Eric Jan Larsen's fourth book, and was composed during the first two years of his seventh decade. As it turns out, this was a period of creativity unmatched in previous years. Topics for the poems and short passages in the collection include calls for peace, the mystical wonder of the Statue of Liberty, wife and children, faith, politics, writing influences, and life in one's later years. While composing most of these pieces, I often found myself thinking that there are poems in this book in which I can readily identify with, no ifs, ands, or buts. I hope that is a good thing.
