Lovers Prayers

“Lovers Prayers” is an articulation of love, adoration, and passion for my beautiful beloved Black Woman. My intension was to write a book with a collection of purely love, and friendship poems. It took me many years in this said endeavour, which are before you in “Lovers Prayers.” However, not all the poems in this book are inspired by Black Women. Even though the majority of the aforementioned are, my deep personal passion has always been to write something for my precious Nubian treasures. But in truth, I love all women! All women as mothers of the human nation. It is the spirit of my most beloved grandmother in me whom I miss so dearly.

At the same time I was writing the aforesaid, I was also constructing “Sinful Contradictions, ” which is a weak poetic interracial love story wrapped in poetry. So in addition, this book of poetry does not only contain love poems. But also a healthy sample of other poems with different themes. It is hard for me to be one dimensional. Because, one cannot truly know a thing without experiencing its opposite. 

So I added other poems for the sake of contrast, and a means of introduction to my other works of art. Including some poems from my latest project “Beast Machine”. Thank you for reading my work my fellow artist. Blessings and one love!
