Making Word.doc Files on Linux

Since I published the first edition of this book LibreOffice has replaced OpenOffice in all the Linux distributions I'm aware of. The new edition reflects this change. There has also been a new edition of the Smashwords Style Guide and this has required a little renumbering of sections in the book to maintain the correspondence. I've made a number of other changes in the text to improve it and, I hope, increase its usefulness to readers. As always, I am grateful for feedback to improve it still further.

I'm a supporter of Free Software, especially OpenBSD, and want to help as many people as possible to use it.
