Man in a Picture

When Janneke died, she was found with a fifty year old picture in her hand, held on her heart. No one knew where the photo came from or who the red-circled face of a man belonged to. This sent her grand daughter on a hunt that would make a turn at the Second World War, ending closer to home than expected. The search journeyed through social media all the way to Holland where a long lost friend was found. But the solution of the problem came through the soiled newspaper from the cage of a parrot.
