My Master's Voice

I believe there may be nothing on this earth, outside of the Word itself that has the ability to comfort a distressed soul as effectively as a well- written poem. Within its delicately composed lines lies immense power to bring peace and solace to the most shipwrecked heart, while offering a sense of cheer and relief to one caught in the punishing grip of grief. The power to breathe fresh life into the most hopeless of situations in much the same way as an unexpected breeze on a mid-summer’s day. Whether it is the loss of a loved one or the disappointment of a season gone awry, a few lines can restore the rhythmic beating of the most distraught heart.


As you allow yourself to become lost within the pages of this book I pray you will find yourself entering into The Holy of Holies, where the welcome lap of your Heavenly Father awaits to hold and soothe even the weariest pilgrim. He promises rest to the weary, comfort to those who mourn, and hope for the hopeless.


May this book serve as a reminder to us all that we are not of this world, but merely temporary sojourners on our way to our ultimate, everlasting reward with our Maker, Keeper, and Lover of Our Souls. May God be glorified and the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord be eternally lifted up!
