Noble Pursuit

Without a king on the throne, Endalwynndale is ripe for the taking. While an enemy of the kingdom plots to capture his people, Oslan, the brave crown prince, learns that there is more to some of his nobles than he had originally believed. He finds himself taking up arms to travel across the ocean, where Augle, the cyclops, lives guarding an artifact that can help him thwart the plan to end his life. Determined to save his subjects, he courageously attempts to face the giant and desperately hopes he is cunning enough to win the vital relic that even magic cannot help him spirit away.

Noble Pursuit, is the second of five books in the Binding of the Almatraek series, to be followed by Enchanted Page. Each book in the series is told from the point of view of a different one of the main characters. The first is told from the perspective of a peasant girl, who thwarts a theft in the marketplace and is sought after by the prince, who hires her to become his future mage. This book follows, but continues the tale from the prince's perspective years later, when he is about to take the throne, and a new, more deadly threat to his people is imminent.

This book is appropriate for ages nine to adult, and features strong female characters that shine just as brightly as the males.
