In a futuristic society, where two distinct classes of people reside, the one world government dictates life. Across the globe there are seven cities serving as capitols housing the government. Ruling class individuals, known as Elite, are the government and Working class individuals serve their government. Strict rules are enforced upon both classes with punishment being meted out equally. First offenses warrant a twenty-four hour incarceration. A second offense earns the individual a fourteen day stay at a re-education camp. A third offense will earn the citizen banishment.
Banished individuals, irregardless of class, are dropped on one of six prison islands scattered across the globe. These islands have no guards, or native populations, and security is held solely within their inherent remoteness. Security patrol ships sail routinely monitoring the islands, and surveillance satellites also monitor the islands. Dropped prisoners are left to fend for themselves with no government assistance being provided. Banished Elite are dropped with food, water, clothing, and other personal supplies. Working class offenders are dropped with the clothes on their backs and a full one gallon water bladder.
This is the story of a small group of banished Others, since they are no longer considered citizens, and their survival on one of these islands. Discoveries made, including books and writings forbidden by the government, cause the Others to question what they have been taught as history. These discoveries include a journal kept by a sect of individuals sworn to maintaining knowledge of the true past, not the history written by the government revisionists. A dropped Elite, wishing to escape, makes her wishes known and joins forces with those Others who’ve found the truth. These questions fuel a desire within the group make a serious attempt at escape.
