Northern Pacific

A skilled color photographer, Matt Herson made an extraordinary effort to capture “The Mainstreet of the Northwest” in the 1960s in color within the mountains and valleys first traversed by Lewis and Clark.  His work covers the last decade of the Northern Pacific and takes a quick look at successor operation by Burlington Northern and Montana Rail Link.
