Poen de Wijs (1948) is a famous Dutch contemporary painter of realism.

In the seventieths and eighties he made a great impression with his nude paintings, that were sold all over the world. The Biblical “Song of Songs”  - a universal and romantic combination of love and eroticism -  was the main inspiration for all of these works.

Poen de Wijs (1948) is een bekende Nederlandse schilder van het realisme. 

In de zeventiger- en tachtiger jaren maakte hij grote indruk met zijn naakten, die over de hele wereld werden verkocht. Het Bijbelse “Hooglied” – een universele en romantische combinatie van liefde en erotiek – was de belangrijkste inspiratie voor al deze werken.
