One Step Ahead

After surviving a vicious shootout when he fought off three thugs trying to force their way into a friend’s upmarket Johannesburg home, ex-policeman Zach Norse hopes to put it all behind him and enjoy his new friendship with paramedic Linda Chu.
But the gang relentlessly pursues them, seeking revenge for his killing one of the men. Facing danger at every turn, Zach and Linda are constantly on the move to outwit the villains, who are part of a dangerous gang that will stop at nothing to achieve its goals.
The gang’s drug-running, larceny, kidnapping and violence mean that the police are after them too. But the law seems powerless, and is constantly foiled in plans to apprehend the criminals. The gang is always one step ahead: perhaps there a mole in the police force.
Linda is shot and Zach is persuaded to help the police in tracking down the gang. Will his unorthodox strategies with his unusual friends Pete Bakhuis and Takeout finally foil the villains?
