Patches

Patches is a collection of short poems that I wrote to promote inner peace and healing. They include spiritual concepts like God and Spirit because, in my opinion, we are spiritual beings on a shared journey here. Some of the thoughts that I am sharing could disagree with your personal outlook and beliefs. That is to be expected when talking about deeper things like love, attitudes, and one’s relationship with God. I did not write this to preach at you, criticize, or attack. Rather, I am offering these thoughts to you as a gift, because I find them helpful.

A lifetime of experience and learning has taught me that there is a strong connection between one’s spirituality, happiness, and mental health. Thought systems that are based on fear and guilt produce anger and depression. Those that are based on love and forgiveness promote intimacy and healing. Learning how to ask for, receive, and recognize spiritual guidance from a loving God enhances both. This book will help you to move in that direction if you give it some thought.
