Liam, a complex chameleon-like character, is charming in Maya's home of North Carolina but bitter in England, where he's reminded of his brother and ex-girlfriend's betrayal. Maya's revelation shocks him and leaves him wondering how far he's willing to go for love. Both characters are strong, and their relationship develops naturally, without any force or pretense.
