Please Pass the Rainbows

This children's book of poetry and illustrations was suggested by a teacher to help introduce children to poetry. Each poem is a short story, one to two pages in length, and illustrated by hand.
You will find the contents speak with respect and admiration for children's innate wisdom, and inspire the inner child in all of us.
Children are invited to join in on the storytelling by coloring the scenes and characters that accompany each poem. The delightful result is a keepsake book recalling precious childhood memories.

Hailing from New York, Jaye Showalter writes from San Diego, CA. She began writing stories and doodling to entertain her children and their friends. With her children grown, Jaye continues to share her world of fanciful characters and rhyme, bringing her love of young people's poetry and cartooning to new generations.

The Author would like to children for their unwavering optimism, and her mentors, ("Sir") Tim Dugan, and Michael Winter for convincing her she could write. And to her husband James, without whose support, this little book would never have been written.

And she would like to thank especially those of you who are reading this. Jaye Showalter is giving children a chance to explore their imagination, and who knows? They may write stories of their own one day soon!
