Poetic Legacy

I, D. Alfred Jones do solemnly swear to tell you the truth and nothing but the truth in poetic form for the duration of this book. I can assure you that the poems that I will recite came from the life that I have lived and the situations that I have faced. On occasion I will sprinkle a bit of fantasy into my writings. Even I like to dream from time to time. And imagination must be allowed to run free. Wouldn’t you agree? I’ll give you my heart and soul through these writings. And if by chance something that I say brings satisfaction to any, then I will have accomplished my mission. My statement is simple: I aim to bring enlightenment to the masses. If I do this, then my legacy will be complete. If I fail, then I can still be at peace because I know that I gave it my very best effort.
