Portal to Murder

Pittsburgh city councilwoman, Maura Keogh, is murdered in broad daylight standing in front of the new portal art installation in Market Square. Her Pittsburgh neighbors are vacationing in Canada and witness her murder through the Toronto portal.

Detectives Susan Wycoff and Donovan Casey are at their wedding reception when cell phones go off and fellow detectives and police all stand to leave. They've been called to a murder scene. The victim is a woman Susan has worked with closely for the past year on the mayor's Domestic Violence Task Force.

Susan and Donovan rush through the reception, table their honeymoon plans, and divert their limo driver to headquarters. They both knew Maura and are determined to bring her killer to justice.
