Power User Guide - Google Chrome Tips, Tricks and Secrets

The web browser such as Google Chrome have evolved over the last two decades into a swiss army knife of apps (which I refer to as a 'Universal App'). It has become more than just an app for accessing our favorite website. It has become a universal interface to managing our data (personal and business), devices and more.

More of the things we do and use every day are not done in just apps but done on websites that utilize cloud-based services (for storage, applications, etc.). Here is a question, think of your life without your browser?

In my books, I will not bore you with useless information and what you may already know (such as how to do basic things on the web like opening a web page). My books are designed to help you learn about what you don't know. Google Chrome does not have a lack of hidden features and functionality that most people might not even realize is there.

As Google Chrome is a multi-platform browser (supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Google OS), this book is as well. Any distinct differences in features for these platforms is pointed out in the different related sections.

Some of these features are hidden because they are experimental (i.e. not ready for primetime). Some of this functionality is for people who are developers or IT Professionals to troubleshoot problems with web pages. While even other features are for the individual user to enhance or customize the experience, and troubleshoot problems with existing websites that they might have. I will show you how to exploit these features so you can take full advantage of the browser.

My books are generally written for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. This book expects that you have a general knowledge of how to use a computer and browser, and you know how to perform basic day-to-day operations.
