Mike's world is turned upside down.

Life hardly seems real when you're attending college in a world accessed by a doorway in your bedroom closet. After a semester of learning magic, Mike Cosley is happy for some normality when he goes home over summer break. But things get shaken up there when he bumps into someone from his past.

When he returns to Bardsworth University for his second year, he brings some emotional baggage back with him. But he also gets to party with fairies, deal with a magic creature who causes chaos, and visit a new city with friends. When a head injury makes him question his entire reality, though, he realizes it's time to deal with his issues.
