Reid

Called upon to protect his best friend's sister when her life is threatened by a stalker, as a former FBI hostage rescue expert, and current Eidolon operative, Reid is perfect for the job and can handle any danger that comes his way. What he can't handle is taking one look at Callie and falling in lust at first sight. Loyalty to his friend means he must keep his hands to himself though, and not persuade Callie into his bed like he desperately wants to. 

Growing up with different mothers, Callie and her brother only saw it each other at weekends, and she'd never met his best friend in person. Over the years she'd heard stories and seen pictures of Reid though, and her young heart fell in love with the tattooed hunk. Picked up by a modelling agency as a teen, her career took off, and she's travelled the world. 

Now an adult, Callie wants more from life, and when her brother asks Reid to protect her, old feelings are brought to the surface. As the days go by and they fight their attraction to each other, Callie realises she wants so much more from him than what he's prepared to give. She wants forever, and that may be one thing she doesn't have.
