Restoring Water
Stories, Cycles and Actions

Restoring Water is a living book about water. It combines narratives from Charles Fishman, author of The Big Thirst, NASA and U.S. Geological Survey. These are followed by chapters about water in communities. In this first edition the Ithaca, NY community tells us how they treat their wastewater and how high school students are involved in a wetlands restoration project. George Cook, the book’s curator and author, invites other communities to participate in future editions of the book, sharing stories about their own community’s water.
