Salida del Sol Elementary School

At Salida del Sol, our vision is for our Pre-K through third grade students to be 21st century learners who will be able to compete globally with other students.  Being a Pre-K through third grade school, we recognize the importance of making sure our students have firm foundational skills.  In addition, we begin teaching collaboration skills in kindergarten so that our students will be able to collaborate, provide evidence or research that supports their thinking and analyze their peer’s thinking.  We continuously strive to have our students articulate their thinking and learning as well as receive feedback from others which may help them adjust their thinking and learning or make a more informed decision.  We want our students to become critical thinkers, have the ability to solve real world problems and becoming productive citizens of their community.
