Dear Reader,

We are extremely excited to present the first edition of Yavneh Academy’s literary magazine, Scribe! After months of hard work of our team of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, it means a lot to us that you are reading and supporting our work.

The theme of this literary magazine is miracles. The stories and poems this magazine contains reflect each writer’s interpretation of this theme. There are stories about magic, nature, health, and the strength of family, friends, and traditions.

The purpose of this magazine is to take young writers and improve their skills. Scribe has become a place to put our thoughts on a page and to be encouraged, critiqued, and be part of a community. We, as a group, have become a family of writers and artists, students who joined together in our love of storytelling and our wish to become better at what is so meaningful to us. We have enjoyed working and getting to know our peers through the process of creating the magazine. All three middle school grades joined together, giving us an opportunity to learn from one another.
