An Australian memoir of Carolann's search for her biological family from her early thirties after discovering, at the age of four, that she was adopted. 


The memoir documents Carolann's reunion with her birth mother Edna, who had concealed the identity of Carolann's birth father until the truth had been revealed. It also dramatises the effects of the reunion on Carolann's family.
