Cricket's not as big as religion in India, it's bigger.  And the mecca of the great game is Mumbai, the financial capital of the nation and home to 22 million people.

From college students to corporates to street kids, thousands of "Mumbaiyas" (Mumbai residents) live out their dream of playing for the country on one of the three most popular "maidans" (recreation grounds) in the south of the great city.

All the photos in this book were taken on one sizzling summer's eve in March 2011.
