The characters are an unlikely, improbable group of young men living through the chaos and change coming in that era. So, if you grew up in the 60s, Vietnam was more than a name on a map and Cvil Rights was more than just a history lesson. Southern Rules is the story of young men attending The Citadel and learning to deal with the realities of that era – from first loves to race confrontations to preparing for service in Vietnam and the Hippie counter-culture. The story will make you laugh and perhaps cry on occasion but you will identify with the characters and the crazy world they experienced. Mitch Bouchette is self-declared as likely the first Redneck, Hispanic-Cajun that most readers have ever run across. The language and the scenes that lay out are real and if you lived through it you will recognize it. Enjoy!
