Sparrowhawk VI: War

The sixth and final installment in this popular series about the start of the American Revolution. Opening in the Spring of 1774 and ending explosively on the York River in the fall of 1775, 'Sparrowhawk Book Six: War' concludes Edward Cline’s celebrated series and brings readers one step closer to the American Revolution. Jack Frake is now the captain of an independent company of militia, while Hugh Kenrick is a burgess witnessing the twilight of the colonial legislature in Williamsburg. When Parliament passes more acts restricting the colonists, Americans take it as an unofficial declaration of war and the residents of Caxton are thrown into an uproar. All-out conflict between the Crown and the colonists seems inevitable. In a move that will take the Sparrowhawk into combat one final time, Hugh and Jack strike out to end British tyranny and form a free country, a battle which will culminate on the bloody slopes of Breed’s Hill near Boston.
