The search takes them from the Chilean Andes to Portugal to New York City, with a stop at Bethan's sister's California wedding, to which, in a far-fetched coincidence, all five of Alaska Force's primary suspects have been invited. While the plot occasionally strains credulity, readers are unlikely to mind as Crane takes her appealing characters on a breakneck adventure around the world. A well-balanced mix of romance and suspense makes this a sure bet for series fans.
