The longest day of the year just turned into the strangest night.

Crescent Bay's High Solstice Renaissance Faire is in full swing, bringing tourists, tournaments, and midsummer mischief. Between strawberry picking, horseback riding, and a weekend of camping with friends, I was ready to enjoy the longest days of the year. But when a beloved local pony disappears – and then a man goes missing from our campsite – summer's enchantment turns eerie.

Carter Monroe isn't exactly a friend, but when he blunders into the woods and never returns, his daughter is left waiting at the campfire.
