Taming the Terminal is specifically targeted at learning the macOS Terminal but most of the content is applicable to the Linux command line. If you’re on Windows, it is recommended that you use the Linux Subsystem for Windows to learn along with this book. Wherever practical, Bart explains the differences that you may encounter if you’re not on macOS.
The series started in April 2013 and was essentially complete in 2015 after 35 of n lessons, but Bart carefully labeled them as "of n" because he knew that over time there likely would be new episodes. More episodes have indeed come out, and this book will be updated over time as the new instalments are released.

Great Show and Detailed Show Notes
TTT is an awesome podcast on the Podfeet Network. While I was sceptical at first that the terminal could be taught in audio form, I was mistaken. Armed with just what I learned about TMUX in Episode 38 (while doing yard work), I got TMUX up and running on two of my servers and have been using it ever since. I’ve known that such tools existed, but Bart gave me everything I needed to know, along with invaluable tips on connecting.
So, why would one want it in book form? Becuase of the show notes! While so much can be taken from the audio podcast by itself, having those show notes all gathered in one searchable place is beyond helpful.
From the basics to proficiency
A great introduction to using the command line on macOS in particular and Unix and Linux in general.
Authors Bart and Allison achieved the impossible of bringing the command line to life in a practical, interesting, and entertaining course in audio format. This published edition of Bart's web-based show notes is beautifully formatted to read well on iOS or macOS Books application — it reads well and looks great whether you are on the smallest iPhone device or on your Mac.
They don’t assume any more knowledge than knowing how to use your Mac as an ordinary user.
The book is even available on GitHub where you can find out how they used the terminal and open source command line software to make the book from the original HTML show notes.
