This very brief fictional story about one man's experience of attending a ballpark both as a child and an old man highlights how societal change can potentially impact people with "hard to let go" traditions. While the story takes place at the ballpark of the former Cleveland Indians (now the Cleveland Guardians), it is in no way intended to represent the ballpark, team, management, or other agents as a factual matter. Likewise, neither the material or cover image is in any way intended to insult the team's decision to drop the former logo nor especially to offend any Native peoples. The author has simply taken liberal artistic license to create a fictional story that is hopefully both entertaining and introspective.
