The Complex, Interlude One: Max

Max:
Max just met the guy of his dreams. They're getting along so well, Max can't bring himself to decline a camping trip in April, even though he hates the cold. All is well until Max wanders off to take a leak... and is met with a presence that is out-of-this-world. What could be looked at as a sequel to the novel's prelude, The Dreamer picks up with Max where The Patient leaves off, eluding to events in part two of The Complex serial novel. In it, Max finds himself in his usual setting, only this time, within his mind. And now he has a visitor...someone who will give him insight to what he's doing in The Complex, and to all the mysteries that lie within.

Whether or not you've read any of The Complex, the stories in this interlude can be enjoyed both separately from and cohesively with the main plot of the serial novel. Contains an excerpt from Part Two: The Observer.
