The Electromagnetic Spectrum

The electromagnetic spectrum plays a fundamental role in modern technology and communication. In this multitouch book we will cover what electromagnetic waves are and how they are used to improve our lives as well as explaining how they can be used in this way.

This multitouch book is part of a series of resources produced by Initial Teacher Trainee PGCE students from the University of Nottingham, as part of a collaborative project with The de Ferrers Academy. The students were given a week to learn and develop experience in using Apple technology and iBooks Author, supported by a designer, Apple Distinguished Educators and university lecturers. A series of workshops covered skills such as book layout & elements of design, creative use of video & animation apps, designing bespoke widgets and presentation skills.
