Four friends arrive at a run down hot springs resort, the site of an ancient volcano and marshland.

Here, scientists have discovered fossils of giant, mutated beasts from 700,000 years ago, and the 300,000 year skull of an early hominid.

The supposed healing waters of the ancient Eye, hold many secrets.

The staff, and a visiting scientist at the resort and research centre, are quite eerie.

Slowly, the minds of the four friends become deranged or mutated, and they lose their sense of reality, unknowingly succumbing to chaos,confusion and even death.

There are forces beyond anyone's control at work, and beings never before encountered, which warp our expected realities.

Will Carl and Jenna survive Jenna's blind and inexplicable rage? Will Tim and Amanda manage to save their newly found romance?And will any of them find their way out, or be forever transformed?



This is the third book by author Robert C Waldron, and was a winner during the National Novel Writing Month worldwide competition, as his first venture into the horror genre.
