The Ginger Jar Deception

When college girl Pip finds a gorgeous ginger jar in the thrift shop, she has to buy it! Then strange things start happening — someone rummages through her car, a new acquaintance is run over, and similar ginger jars start appearing everywhere!

Her friend, library assistant Pru, knows there must be more to the mysterious jar than meets the eye. Along with fluffy dog Teddy, a white Coton de Tulear, Pru and Pip start digging into the secrets surrounding Pip's unusual purchase.

Meanwhile, Pru's friend and roomie Martha is suspicious of a bathroom contractor whose work doesn't quite add up, and Pru's detective boyfriend Jesse has a puzzling case of his own.
