The Golden Nugget

The Golden Nugget is the fourth book that Mrs. Beckley has written. It is an interactive book and introduces the reader to the history of the Reed Gold Mine in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1799. It was the first goldmine in the United States of America.

I hope that this part of history sparks a discussion both in your classrooms and in your families, maybe at the dinner table.

The names of the people are fictional, but the information about the Reed Gold Mine, Italy, and South Korea are correct.

Look for the last book in the series called Emily to be out sometime soon. The rest of the books should be out soon.
