Publisher Description

The office of President of the United States deserves respect even if you do not like the individual who occupies the position. Having integrity in the Office of the President is everything and is an important characteristic. Many individuals appear to not understand the limited power of the President based on the Constitution. It takes three branches of government to make our government functional. While the President can do some things without Congress it takes Congress to pass a budget to implement any agenda by the President. It should not be about Congress getting their way or the highway it is about working for the betterment of the country not any political philosophy.
The subjects discussed and presented in this book is about instilling some integrity principles in the operations of the federal government and it starts with the President. Doing the right things for the country is what our federal government should be about. The Trump administration and the President in particular are making waves which should have been in place many years before now. Instilling integrity principles within the Executive Department and their agencies will be a fresh start to putting our country on a better path to the future.
Integrity within the Executive Department of which the President is the head has already started as issues are being addressed which have been ignored by past administrations and Congress. It is time that the right decisions be made to make our country great again. There are many problems facing our country not only as a part of the world economy but also the economy of our country.
The President establishes foreign policy, gives guidance to the departments and agencies, is the Commander in Chief of our military, proposes a budget to Congress, makes appointments and sends nominations as applicable to the Senate for confirmation. In addition the President has the authority and responsibility to issue pardons and initiate executive orders to the Executive Departments and their agencies. Many individuals feel the President is in control of the federal government when in fact the control is a joint responsibility between the President and Congress. The President however can establish an agenda for which Congress must review and either concur or make suggestions regarding the path for the country and proposals provided by the President. Too often the authority of the President comes under review by the courts and this is fine except when courts do not have any justification to impact a legal and constitutional decision made by the President.
The issues facing President Trump will not be easy resolve but he can initiate actions by the departments and agencies regarding policy not to be confused with the law. Too often as in any transfer of power there are those individuals who remain from past administrations bent on obstructing the political agenda. The political agenda is changing and so is the path for our future. How integrity principles in the process can be achieved will be discussed as various topics are presented. The main purpose is to broaden the understanding of the role of President of the United States. There will be examples of a double standard being applied within the federal government which is both harmful to the future of our country with regards to the rule of law. In addition it also involves the actions of individuals who wish a President to fail based on their political philosophy.
