The Lift describes the nature of the present and defines the mechanism that brings about this 'present's motion' from future to past.
Basically, it was an idea. In other words, the lift consists of the same substance as other ideas. Can you follow? Of course, once the lift was completed, various experts came and inspected it, assessed it and then issued a permission for its use. After them, some technicians came to make small repairs and final touches where required or to paint certain bits in different colors. A question of taste, you know. Apart from that, the lift essentially remained the same. Are you still with me?
