The Marble Palace

Murder , betrayal and strife are common in the Marble palace. When a lowly trader is murdered together with his son after mistakenly stumbling over a plot to assassinate the emperor, his daughters take matters into their hands and vow to avenge their family.
Anya enters the Marble palace with one intent, revenge. However, she is plunged into the terrible world of palace politics and discovers her enemies are more powerful than she imagined at first. She becomes the emperors lover thinking having more power will give her an advantage against the influential enemies but that puts a larger target on her back.
