The Pilgrim's Progress is one of the most famous and influential works of English literature, written by John Bunyan. It was first published in 1678 and has since been translated into over 200 languages, making it one of the most widely read books in the world after the Bible. The book is a Christian allegory that tells the story of a man named Christian on his journey from his hometown, the "City of Destruction", to the Celestial City (heaven). Along the way, Christian faces various trials, temptations, and challenges, each representing different aspects of the Christian faith and the struggles believers encounter on their spiritual journey.
