Happy the sailboat sings happily about the upcoming boat parade at the Seashell Safe Harbor. Starfish Sue shares the good news with Pelican Hugh, Joy the catamaran, Mighty the shrimp boat, Sassy the speedboat, and the rest of the harbor boats. Not all the boats are excited about the parade, though, because they are not feeling their finest. “Who wants to see my tattered sail?” says Joy. “Who wants to see a dirty and smelly boat?” asks Mighty. Sassy feels she had a great chance of winning and tries to convince Joy and Mighty to participate, knowing the boats are not in their best shape. With concern for their boat friends feeling pressured to join in the parade, Starfish Sue, Pelican Hugh, and Dolphin Rue find Happy—and before you know it, Happy’s Captain Drew and the sailors had a plan.
