The Silver Lining

The light from the truck was fully on her now and they were less than fifteen feet away from her. That’s when she turned around and stepped onto the road, directly in the path of their vehicle. Instinctively Ranga sounded the horn, swerved the vehicle and hit the brakes. But the woman didn’t flinch and stood bang in the middle of the road. The truck stood about ten feet or so away from her at an angle such that only the fringes of the headlights glare fell on her…… A series of vignettes woven with wit, intrigue, humor and the occasional jolt! Set in archetypal contemporary India, a proverbial silver lining binds the wrap and weft of each tale.
