Various samples of pronunciation of British English and American English have been used for comparison to help the student adopt the pronunciation of the speaker who comes closest to their own tone and accent. 


Although there are many differences between the variations of the English language in the world, such as pronunciation and spelling, all variations are mutually intelligible, and are mostly the same in terms of grammar. 


Pronunciation is by no means immutable and permanent and it is less liable to capricious innovation than one may think.
