The Trouble with Ducklings

Trouble and tradition bump heads in the second installment of the all-new Call the Devondale Vet series, perfect for fans of grumpy sunshine and the heartwarming All Creatures Great and Small.

Now partners by both a handshake and a formal agreement, Jo and Mac are beginning the new experience of sharing a veterinary practice under the Furry Friend's Veterinary Surgery's shingle. Enthusiast Jo can't wait to begin, but once she and assistant George arrive, it's quickly clear that mashing together two very difference practices — and styles of practicing veterinary medicine — is easier said than done.

When a construction site discovers some unlikely tenants in need of evicting on site, the vets at Furry Friends clinic are dispatched to rescue some orphan ducklings — which proves to be easier said than done once the downy escapees flee the scene. Mac and Jo are forced to come up with a creative means of capture, especially when the ducklings reappear and threaten to cause a traffic collision on the village's high street.

In the meantime, Jo is rearranging furniture and hanging up cat posters, as Mac is fighting a battle with the part of himself that wants to hold onto the practice's traditional ways, which he's known his entire life. Will they find common ground, or will differing ideas drive them farther apart?
