Scott might not believe in vampires, but Caro does.    

And she thinks he knows that—otherwise, why would he confide in her?     

Because he has a problem. A big one. And in a small town like theirs, it can be hard to know who to confide in.    

Except what he doesn't know, is he's offering her not only his confidence, but also a chance: to be the vampire hunter she's in line to become. If only her moms will let her.
