Lynne Dozier, award winning teacher, has created a complete guide to career and college rhetoric that includes technical, literary, academic and personal writing. This version also contains information about the English language, ways to develop vocabulary and the importance of both reading and evaluation in developing a writer's style.

The Writer's Voice includes examples from the author and her students. The "Lessons in Composition" grew organically from real classrooms of "struggling writers", including English Language Learners, who understood that even though they might not earn a living as writers, they would have to write to earn a living.
