In book 3 of the Metaspace Chronicles, the Xander School is finally getting some traction as students from across the continent risk their lives for the opportunity of a lifetime. But rival powers are taking notice and the new crew of wizard will have to take their game to the next level if they are going to have a place in the future. The Queen of Angeles and others do not look kindly on this free dissemination of psionic skills, and will stop at nothing to cripple the new School and even the still-fragile Union of States.

Meanwhile, as Xander's health begins to fail, the aging wizard works to rekindle an ancient dream: that humans will reach into space again and reclaim their destiny out among the stars. it is still possible - if greed and the ambitions of warlords can be quelled or harnessed for the greater good.
