Miranda is down on her luck... her boyfriend Ryan has become possessive and controlling overnight, she's lost touch with her friends and now her job is on the line after she has been falsely accused of misconduct. She thought things couldn't get any worse, when she discovers it's Ryan who is actually to blame for her almost getting fired! 

Attempting to extricate herself from his toxic presence, she finds herself hiding out in a strange old motel that appears to have a lot of secrets of its own! Whilst Miranda is exploring her room, she finds something that is about to change her life forever. 

Sucked into another place and another time, she is suddenly surrounded by what seem like familiar faces …but how could that be? She has suddenly, impossibly, found herself in medieval England! And why do they know her name?  The story only gets more intriguing as she meets the gallant knight, Sir Caine, who has taken quite an interest in her. In a short span,  she finds herself torn between the familiarity of what she once knew in the present, and the mystery and seeming promise of an untested and dangerous past…
