Her past brought us together, but it was mine that tore us apart.

She was stunning—long, wavy hair and a smile that could bring a man to his knees. The moment my eyes locked onto hers, there was no one else. Not the party around me. Not the blonde on my lap whispering in my ear. Just her.

I told myself it was nothing. My eyes wandered to beautiful women all the time. But there was just something about this one that drew me in.

I needed to talk to her, needed to know her.
